i’ve been on tumblr for nearly a year now, but have gained several hundred new followers over the past couple of months and have been forced to realise via the medium of anonymous submittals and brief perusal of my archive that i rarely post anything of any interest about myself apart from whining about how miserable and lonely i am which, of course, is not interesting in the slightest though certainly personal

so as the world is a curious thing full of curious minds, here i am

i’m a seventeen year old tentative anarchist, aspiring tattoo artist, multi-instrumentalist and part-time hedonist from manchester, north-west england. my parents made the ill-advised decision to name me “grace” though i can’t think of many names which would be less suited apart from, perhaps, honour or patience. i’m lucky enough to have two sisters, one older, one younger, but i’ve always wished for a brother. i spent a four miserable years at a shithole of a high school and one year at a decent school full of shitty people, and now i go to a catholic college where the priest tries to get me to come to mass 2-3 times a week because he wants to save my soul, and i study art, music technology, philosophy and music performance. i don’t have any friends at college but i have some lovely ones outside of it, and that’s more than enough for me. i’m confident enough to be myself almost all of the time but not, unfortunately, enough to believe that people will like me for it.

and if you’re only interested in the superficial, well - so am i, a lot of the time. i have an obsession with beauty, a huge admiration for genuine punks, and a love of the shaved head, tattoos, skinny boys and skinny girls with boyish frames, film photos, strong brews, swearing profusely, northern attitudes, and having a nice cold pint in a frosty glass at the pub and a decent conversation about music and who’s sleeping with who and

most of all i love being FREE which is a problem at the moment because i am all tied down and i hate hate hate it
